What’s it like inside and outside The New Jerusalem?

Walls of Jasper.

And the entire city is made of gold and precious jewels!

Rev 21:10, 11, 18 - and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.

- It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone—like jasper as clear as crystal.

- The wall was made of jasper, and the city was pure gold, as clear as glass.

Foundation inlaid with precious stones.

Rev 21:19 - The wall of the city was built on foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones:

Each city gate is one huge pearl.

Hence, "The Pearly Gates!

Rev 21:21a - The twelve gates were made of pearls—each gate from a single pearl!

Streets of purest gold!

Rev 21:21b - And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass.

No temple, sun or moon; only God's illumination.

Rev 21:22, 23 - I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

- And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light.

Hallelujah! No electric bills! P.S. Hallelujah means Praise God.

Remember; in this life we don't have the capacity to even imagine what awaits those of us who believe and love God. But as I describe this next part, do your best to visualize your place in The New Jerusalem.

I Corinthians 2:9 - “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

As for our homes,

Jesus said;

John 14:1-3 - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

- In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

- And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
